1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Farr's rescue trip By Anne Jessup As always, the characterizations are strong -- the good guys AND the bad guys. In this tale, Farr leaves Seven Rivers to rescue Kate, who is pretty sure that she does NOT need rescuing. Jack, not wanting his only friend to travel alone, comes along for the adventure. Despite being a big, strong cowboy, Jack isn't all that great at actually riding a horse. Farr has to adjust to Jack's very slow pace -- even a lope seems too much. It's going to be hard to catch up with Kate. Meanwhile, Kate is sure that she can get to Denver and live her life the way she wants to, but of course her plans hit a big snag. The Apache/Zuni sheep-herder was a wonderful character and I hoped he would continue to be part of the story. He was clever, and I was surprised that he fell into a trap.In all, a great continuation of the adventures of Farr.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Well written and a great read! By Tim Winsor If you are a fan of good Western novels, buy this book. Farr is reminiscent of the best Louis L'Amour characters. It is well written, and is hard to put down.
