Review "A Fascinating thriller full of surprise turns" Sinan Perin"A great read" Pauline Scutt"Imaginative stuff" Nick Brunyard"A creative near-future thriller, that you can't put down" George Kerschbaumer"Scary Story but a must read" Kerstin Kretzer

From the Author Meyer-Hofmann AG is my first novel. Apparently it is not the best title if you want to sell books. Modern search engines look for keywords in titles like, "Murder" or "Assassin" so that the reader finds what they are looking for as quickly as possible.  Unless my readers are looking for a book about Mr "Meyer" or Mr "Hofmann" they are going to struggle to find my book. The fact is, over the three years it took me to write it, I never thought of a better title.I got the basic idea for the book from my good friend Roger, who for some reason thought I might be able to write a better book than him. I will let you be the judge of that:)The books basic premise is the idea that you could inherit your forefathers memories. DNA holds lots of wonderful information about your parents, their eye colour, hair colour, size and health, why not their memories. This really inspired me and I played around with lots of plot lines. The one that excited me the most was the struggle a person would face if suddenly consumed by another person's memories. Would they change? How would that affect the people around them? It was only when considering the books setting that the Meyer-Hofmann story started to evolve. It is my first Novel and I thought it would be better to set it in places that I knew well. Hence the book is set in Munich (where I live) and Leeds (where I used to live). I suppose it was a bit of an easy get out to choose the Nazi links when the book is based in Germany, but I ask for your forgiveness for that. After I started researching the wonders of DNA and genetic engineering the book and its possibilities expanded exponentially. I tried to keep the main charachters (Michael Jarvis) struggle at the heart of the book and use the colourful diversions that DNA offers, to build a number of sub-plots to keep the reader guessing.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Fascinating Thriller full of surprising turns By Sinan Perin It is about German Nazis that sounds like the same old stories but this novel is fresh and surprises. A fast plot with unforeseen turns make the book a one day and a night read. Normal citizens fighting not to become cruel Nazis makes the story very interesting even if you are not a friend of the lot of action in it.
