The writer weaves a nice fictional story about a rescue dog amongst his own personal chapters of raising two boys with their family pet. His love of for his sons and their family pet shine through in a few tear jerking chapters. Just want you'd want out of any quick weekend read....a few laughs and tears.

Told from both the rescue dog and dog rescuer's perspectives, it gives a glimpse into two families, and how the love of a dog can change them (or not). For anyone who has had a dog resuce them, I highly recommend this book!
