Rosalina and Archer are trying to go on after the fight with Nox, the villain who was after the same treasure. Now they are engaged and finally have been able to find the treasure Archer’s father died for all those years ago. Since Archer’s friend and fellow diver, Jimmy was hurt badly after the fight with Nox, Rosalina is now helping Archer with diving for the treasure. But unfortunately, even with Nox gone, there are still other people who are trying to get their hands on the treasure. And soon Rosalina and her friends are in danger once again.What I really loved about the first book ‘Treasured Secrets’, was the way that book took place in so many different countries. There was romance, there was adventure.. that book seemed to have it all. ‘Treasured Lies’ goes on right from were the first book ended and immediately I felt like I was back in the story and never left.The romance between Rosalina and Archer continues. At times it even became hotter than the first book. But there were also a view hard moments between them. Moments were Rosalina had trouble believing Archer motives. Something I completely understood since Archer broke her heart when he kept so many secrets from her in the previous book. But it sure was fun reading about those two.The treasure hunt is still pretty intense. One villain is down, but now there is another one who also wants to have the treasure Rosalina and Archer found. This villain definitely was responsible for a view terrifying moments. And he really doesn’t play fair.Although there was less travel in this book I still really enjoyed the story. I just love the two main characters Rosalina and Archer. And the treasure hunting part in this series is just really fun to read about. It’s intense, terrifying and definitely frustrating at times.. but I love reading it.‘Treasured Lies’ is another awesome book. The writing is easy to read and it definitely makes for a fun and cozy read.

By Stacy L Sabala Book Review- Treasured Lies by Kendall TalbotArcher and Rosalina are finally diving for the Calimala treasure. Alessandro and Jimmy are still recovering from their injuries when Knox tried to kill them. Rosalina has been diving with Archer discovering the treasures in the shipwreck they have found. However Ignatius has been watching them and knows they have found something. He boards their yacht and steals what he finds.Archer and Jimmy rush to bring up what they can before Iggy finds where the wreck is located. Rosalina thinks it is unsafe and doesn’t want them to dive anymore. They are able to recover everything from this wreckage but learn from Archer’s mother that there was more than one ship. They have only crossed off some items from the list. Archer has to return to the abbey where he found his mother to retrieve his father’s notes and research. They now have to race to find the rest of the treasure before Iggy does.Unbeknownst to anyone, Knox survived the harpoon. He is being kept in some type of shed by two men. He has no idea where he is but the pain he feels is excruciating. Once he heals enough he plans an escape. His captors ignore him and they are predictable. He bides his time and one night attempts his escape. His frustration is increased when he finds there is nowhere to go. He refuses to give up. There has to be a way off this island and back to the treasure that is rightfully his.I read the first book and really liked the story. It was full of suspense and awesome characters. Archer and Rosalina had to find their way back to each other. Now they are engaged and working together to finish what Archer’s father started. Archer’s mom is aboard as are the rest of the gang; Jimmy, Alessandro and Ginger.The dives are discoveries are full of danger as is the competition. Archer is worried about keeping everyone safe. The author really shows how cutthroat treasure hunting seems to be. People kill each other for what is found. It makes for a suspenseful and exciting story. I cheer on team Archer as the story evolves. You want them to find the treasure fulfilling his father’s dream. Then return to Italy and live happily ever after. Of course it wouldn’t be a good story if there wasn’t some major obstacles in the way. It was a great read and I recommend this second book. Love the characters and the adventure. I give it a 4 out of 5.

Exciting, Adventure-Filled Treasure Hunt Romance By Sophia Rose I was excited to continue with this second book in the series to see what happened with the treasure, Archer and Rosalina’s romance, and with the tenacious villain, Nox. The story jumped right in where the first one left off so it doesn’t make for a good standalone.It is unavoidable to not have some spoilers for book one by discussing this second book so I just wanted to give fair warning. I will do my best not to give away much more than can be surmised from the blurb.Due to Jimmy’s injuries from the fight with Nox and his men, Rosalina is now Archer’s temporary diving partner as they survey the wreck and begin the process of locating and bringing up the artifacts and treasure. She enjoys the knowledge that they are engaged and back together even as she yearns to go back to Italy and be with her family to share in her happiness. Alessandro is giddy with excitement as the historian gets the job of researching and cataloging each piece that Archer and Rosalina bring up. Everyone is a little on edge when a rival treasure hunter begins sniffing around. He is ruthless and will stop at nothing to get what he wants.While the treasure hunters work to bring up the treasure, Nox begins to recover from wounds that should have killed him all the while plotting revenge. He has his own adventures of survival, but what keeps him going is his dream to have that treasure and make Archer and his band of treasure hunters pay.Things are pretty exciting and suspenseful for this second installment of the series. The group has just survived one attack from a rival group and now they face another lethal fortune hunter. The romance is now headed in the right direction, but Rosalina must now learn to set aside her doubts and trust Archer. The group must balance their treasure fever with the need to actually survive even as Archer’s mother starts to speak about things of the past that have a strong bearing on the present.As with the first book, this one is full of exotic places, Rosalina’s delicious foods, excitement of historic treasures, life at sea and underwater diving, and the rush of danger. The romance and passion has not cooled in fact, it grows deeper and heats up quite a bit between Archer and Rosa. I enjoyed the secondary romance going on, too.I have to add that when it came to Nox’s story, I felt for him as I did when I was a kid for Wiley Coyote in the Road Runner show.Nox has bad intentions and is driven by greed, but he suffers greatly through mishap after mishap making me pity him somewhat. It’s an interesting secondary plot line to follow a villain’s adventures that are as interesting as the main thread with the hero and heroine.All in all, I enjoyed this one as I did the first. Moderately, but good. It is passionate and adventure-filled. Would definitely like to see what comes next after that exciting climax. Those who love romantic suspense set in exotic locales and focused on a treasure hunt should definitely give this series a try.My thanks to Escape Publishing for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
