9 of 9 people found the following review helpful. Very sensual book, loved it. By T London I have been a fan of Lynnette Bernard for a while now but Alexa’s Warrior Mate has left me speechless. Rarely do I feel homesick after I finish a book, but this one had me feeling it during the last ten percent. I had found a place that I wanted to call home, a group of men that I wanted to call my warriors and a sisterhood that you could only dream to be a part of. She gives us action with the battles between the good and evil, which will take your breath away and leave you on the edge of your seat, but what won my heart was her character development with each and every role in the story.Lexi and Sebastian were the main characters in this book, but you meet Lexi’s sisters and niece along with Sebastian’s warriors. Both came from strong families with loving parents, they know what true love looks like and that is what they want more than anything, but with the roles they have inherited, no one sees them as anything other than protectors, until that moment at the lagoon where a single touch will change their worlds.With visions and prophecies that have been passed down by both families, it was fate that Sebastian and Lexi would meet and join forces to protect the people of Altavesta. They knew this was their destiny but much more is about to happen to them when it becomes clear that they are mates for life. Lexi tried to fight this, was willing to take the pain that came from not being near him because she couldn’t see her life being shared with another soul. Sebastian had seen their future and it was joyous, with love and children, finally he would have that one person who would see past his protection and feel his soul and love, but he refused to push her into any choice that she wasn’t comfortable with. He wanted her to decide to be with him out of love, not obligation or the pain they both were feeling.This book is definitely one of the most sensual books I have ever read. Sebastian and his warriors treated Lexi and her sisters with such respect and kindness that it became like foreplay for the romance that would soon occur. I had so many moments when I could feel my heart melt and my body heat up, when I would see these strong men who willing to fight at any moment, instantly soften to the powers of sweet little Hanna. These men had a perfect balance when it came to flirting and talking to the sisters. It was clear they saw them as beautiful women yet they also never gave a second thought to their strength and ability to fight beside the men in battle. Lynnette did a brilliant job at describing how Lexi touched Sebastian’s soul and heart by seeing the man and his desires, while he effectively captured her love and trust by encouraging her to not change a thing about who she was. He appreciated the training her father had given her and he admired her courage and strength, while never losing sight of the soft woman inside that needed love and protection. There are so many elements to this book that just made me want more. I can hardly wait to see what is coming next. I will make sure no matter what I am doing, when I get more of this story the world will have to wait as I escape back to my new piece of Heaven that awaits me on Altavesta.

I enjoyed the close friendships, love and connection each of the characters has with each other. I wish the other books in the series was available now. I can't wait to read the next one.

I have read and enjoyed every book that Lynnette Bernard has written; but this story left me Speechless!!!The way Lynnette takes her characters and develops them makes you feel like you are part of the story.Lexi, her sisters, and her niece leave Earth and travel to Altavesta to begin a new life. Lexi is a warrior and has trained all her life. Lexi and her group arrive at Altavesta to help the Guardian Warriors of the planet.Right away, Lexi meets her mate Sebastian; and although Lexi tries to fight the connection, Sebastian has seen their future and knows that Lexi is the one person who will complete him.I love how we get to meet Lexi’s sisters and Sebastian’s warriors because you know that each sister will have her own story.There is plenty of suspense and intrigue to keep you turning the pages; and yes plenty of loving too!!!I was sad to read that last page; and I am anxiously waiting for the second book in the series to come out. Come on Lynnette; please don’t keep us waiting too long!!!
